Coachman expands national dealer network
Coachman, one of the UK’s leading caravan manufacturers, has recently extended its national dealer network. Marquis Caravans, the largest multi-site dealership in the UK, will now be selling Coachman caravans from its new caravan sales depot in Northampton. This takes the total number of UK Coachman distributors to 37.
Marquis Caravans has 37 years of experience in selling motorhomes and branched out into caravan sales in February 2010 for the first time. They wanted to bring a high quality British manufacturer on board for the new venture, which is why they decided to team up with Coachman.
Jim Hibbs, Managing Director of Coachman, explains the significance of this latest development:
“We are delighted to be working with a brand new distributor at the start of 2010. We are always keen to improve our distribution network and have been working hard over the past year to develop relationships and opportunities with new dealers.
“Marquis Caravans has a fantastic national operation and I’m confident the new Northampton depot will be a success. We look forward to a long term working relationship with the team at Marquis Caravans.”
Marquis Caravans was established in 1973 and operates from nine locations throughout the UK. Models from Coachman’s Amara, Pastiche and VIP ranges will be on display at its new depot.
Graham Davidson Bowman, Commercial Director for Marquis Caravans, comments:
“Coachman, without doubt, is one of the best manufacturers in the industry. Their commitment to quality and attention to detail is second to none, so we knew instantly their products would be a hit with our customers.
“After visiting the Coachman factory recently our team was particularly impressed with how friendly, efficient and organised they are. The quality of Coachman’s product is unrivalled too and our experienced sales people would agree that they outshine the opposition.”
Coachman Caravans was established in 1986 and continues to operate as one of the leading caravan manufacturers in the industry. The company employs 140 members of staff and strives to produce caravans of the highest quality whilst providing superior after sales service. Their range includes the Amara, Pastiche, VIP and Laser.
